In native DuckDB setup, %sql queries don't resolve dataframes to tables (run in VS Code)

See below to reproduce:

%load_ext sql
import duckdb

# Native Setup with autopandas
db = duckdb.connect()
%sql db
%config SqlMagic.autopandas = True

df = %sql select 1

# %%
db.sql('from df') # works fine

# %%
%sql from df

Catalog Error: Table with name df does not exist!
