As per https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/minutely-updated-vector-tiles-demo/110121/26 the size of these tiles is about 3.5x versatiles size when doing a zoom in on Hamburg, primarily at lower zooms.

As I haven't yet done an optimization pass, this is expected.
