What is the process for building and deploying?
1) Test using a local webserver
+ Install Dependencies
-- Install the following gems: 'savon', 'resque'
- use `gem install <gemname>`
-- Install redis
- refer to the bottom of this README for more instruction
-- Build Gemfile.lock using `bundle --without production`
+ Create the database `rake db:migrate`
-- If your "rake db:migrate" fails with error "uninitialized constant Rake::DSL", add the line 'require 'rake/dsl_definition' to your Rakefile
+ Start local redis server
-- Unix command may be `redis-server /usr/local/etc/redis.conf`, but this is installation and platform specific.
+ Start resque worker using `QUEUE=* rake environment resque:work --trace`
-- This worker must be restarted if you change the worker code (perform function)
+ Start local webserver using `rails server`
-- This runs a local instance;viewable at 127.0.0.1:3000
-- If you already have redis running as well, you can view queue web-status using `resque-web`
2) MAKING CHANGES
+ git commit -m "Message stating what I did to the project"
-- Use `git status` to confirm that all your files are added before commiting
-- Remember, commit makes local changes only, you must still git push
3) To push changes to github repo
+ Use `git push origin <branchname>`
-- default branch name is `master`
=================
How do I install redis?
If you're on OS X, Homebrew is the simplest way to install Redis:
$ brew install redis
$ redis-server /usr/local/etc/redis.conf
else, in a folder other than your Kong-judge installation
$ git clone git://github.com/defunkt/resque.git
$ cd resque
$ rake redis:install dtach:install
$ rake redis:start
What is resque and why is it needed?
This manages background jobs, in our case -- so the user does not have to wait while rails handles web-service requests, such as the judging of a solution.

What if I changed GemFile?
You now need to push changes Gemfile and also create a new Gemfile.lock
by using `bundle update`.
How do I use branches other than master?
You can see all branches on our github using `git branch -a` and all branches installed on your local computer using `git branch`.
You can checkout a branch other than 'master' using the command `git checkout -b <branchname> origin/<branchname>`
You can see which branch is currently in use by typing `git branch` and seeing which branch has an asterisk next to it.
You can switch to any locally installed branch by using `git checkout <branchname>`
How do I combine my work from another branch I created back into master?
1) Commit ALL work on your other branch.
2) `git checkout master`
3) `git reset --hard HEAD`
4) `git rebase <otherbbranch>`
5) now you may git push origin master, if you get an error , `git pull --rebase`
