Project Slippi

THIS WILL NOT BUILD A BINARY COMPATIBLE WITH SLIPPI ONLINE

This is a fork of the Faster Melee build script for Linux specific to building Ishiiruka with Project Slippi support.

The latest supported version is: Slippi Ishiiruka r18

This script also supports building the following older versions of the Slippi Ishiiruka fork:

  • Slippi Ishiiruka r10
  • Slippi Ishiiruka r11
  • Slippi Ishiiruka r16

Usage

sh -c "$(curl -Ls https://github.com/project-slippi/Slippi-FM-installer/raw/master/setup)"

Details

For all builds starting with r11, this script produces two folders which each contain separate instances of Dolphin. The netplay instance (netplay/ directory) is used for playing and recording matches. The playback instance (playback/ directory) is used solely for playing back replays.

In order to use the the Slippi Desktop AppImage for playing back replays, Linux users will need to set the "Playback Dolphin Path" setting in the app to point at the directory with the playback instance of Dolphin created with this script.

Thanks to:

/u/ParadigmComplex. Seriously, I could not have finished the original script without this guy.

/u/jojorino and Hannesmann, always testing and helping, as well as the rest of the FM discord!

Also thanks to xanax, CilanMan, /u/algebra123230, /u/folfess for incremental improvements!
