Moving average virtual streams #214
Comments
A quick answer is that it is possible, since the time interval needs to be specified before the creation of the virtual stream anyway, but considering the time limitations, we could only give the ability to the user to redefine the time interval(month, year etc), and visualize it instantly, basically recreating a virtual stream, though only temporarily, i.e. without it being stored for later use. This is because updating the virtual stream database requires a lot of changes. |
actually visualization would not be necessary - this feature is interesting for someone who subscribes to such a virtual stream - my question is how one would formulate such a subscription to a virtual stream |
I think I misunderstood your question, can you explain it more? Basically that the subscriptions will only notify monthly, yearly, etc where to notification will provide the average of that month, year, etc. |
Brainstorming a bit on possible things to be expressed as a virtual stream the question came whether or not we can have a moving average virtual streams which essentially consolidates data points in their averages i.e on monthly, yearly, etc. periods
