Lightpack LED´s are not shutdown when windows pc goes to standby #28
Comments
Did it work properly on 5.11.2.5? |
After some more testing i can say the problem is with windows 10 standy.
|
Okay thanks. I'll look into it as soon as I can but obviously this can't be tested with a virtual device, so I have to wait until I'm back at home (read: Mid April) |
I just tried and things seem to be working in my setup: I also have my Lightpacks running off a powered USB Hub and the blue LED stays on if put the system to standby and they go dark when locking, going to standby and hibernating if "keep lights ON after lock computer" is unchecked. If you just lock the computer (Win+L), do the lights turn off? |
yes |
This is a change in behavior that doesn't really make sense to me - what changed? Did you change any hardware? |
so to wrap everything up. I dont know whats causing this.
The LED´s always stay on if i put computer to energy saving (because power stays on usb, so that i can reactivate with keyboard or mouse). Should i try to make a video of the problem (would take some weeks because i currently cannot film with my smartphone)? |
I think I understand, a video won't be necessary. Can you do it again and post the log, but make sure to turn the log level to 2 or higher. You can change the log level in the experimental tab. If you don't have an experimental tab, go to Profiles and check Expert mode |
i created the log. its very big, so i uploaded it |
I can see from the log that the lights are not switched off, presumably because Lightpack does not realize the machine is sent to standby. Here's a bunch of questions, maybe one leads somewhere or helps me reproduce it:
Please run this special version from the Prismatik directory and post the log. |
Is it correct that i copied your .exe file to my existing installation and executet it there? i noticed no differences with administrator rights. In this log i used win + L command and standby standby start is : 10:55:47 |
You ran it correctly 👍 It seems your computer suspends without locking the session. Do you have to enter your password when resuming? I was able to reproduce your problem: You have the setting mentioned here to not require a password. I think I'll add an option to keep lights on after sleep. Note to self: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa373248%28v=vs.85%29.aspx |
i didnt notice yet that i didnt have to enter my password after standby. that fixed it for me thanks ;) |
Hi, i updatet yesterday to Version 5.11.2.6
Everytime i put my Windows 10 (64 bit) Computer to standy or shut it down the 2 Lightpacks i have stay on.
The Options
"keep light ON after lock computer"
and
"keep lights ON after exit" are not checked.
I have the 2 Lightpacks powered by an active usb hub.
in Logfile there is only this after i boot the computer after the shutdown again:

`
Is this a Problem from the that i use an active usb hub?
