Module names which python differentiates by case - ie DNS vs dns are not handled correctly on case-insensitive operating systems(like OSX) by default. The contents of the modules are packaged into the same directory and the files can potentially conflict.
For a simple example, the dnspython & py3dns are incompatible out of the box on OSX, while they do not conflict as system packages.
