I do not understand what do you mean, but from whole post i understand you may be talking about qbittorrent automatically match many files renamed outside of qbt to the torrent. It reminds me this feature request: #6520 (Tool to match torrents/magnets with local files automatically and instantly) Currently it is good to use qbt to move files and rename it. Not operating system file manager. |

Correct, it would be nice if qbt could match downloaded files - manually, not automatically. In that case, we could point each file within the torrent to its correct path. Providing a path for each file: Basically, it would allow us to keep a single copy of each file in a torrent file and keep it organized to our liking. |

Similar feature request was first posted about 10 years ago. No progress since then. |

Not sure why this is needed... QBT allows me to keep incomplete files/folders in one folder (Tor), then moves the completed item to another folder automatically (BT). Typically the text files is just advertising who or what uploaded the file which I uncheck and not download, with the exception of the subs. When wanting to access the files, it seems easier for me to just find the folder and know everything is there. The video player usually looks for the subs in the same folder as the video, rather than having to tell it "the sub is here". |

After downloading a torrent, I usually rename and move them to a different folder. It would be nice if we had an option to locate each file from torrent file to enable seeding for other users.
Currently, the workaround is to add torrent, locate a folder with the downloaded file, and inside the "Content" view, rename the file. The problem occurs if torrent has multiple files with different folder structure - in that case we can't locate all the files which are required for the full torrent seeding.
