Is there a guide for the theme creator?

Please explain where this images are used.

Is it possible to redefine mascot.png and/or splash.png via a theme ?

There is not any, unfortunately. I will teach you the way I find out the use of icons in the project. I am using Linux, and thus get grep built-in with my system. Find an alternative, if you use Windows.

First get inside the project folder, and run:

grep -r system-log-out

Result:

src/icons/icons.qrc:        <file>system-log-out.svg</file>
src/webui/www/webui.qrc:        <file>private/images/system-log-out.svg</file>

You can easily find out where the icons are getting used.

Following it ("you can change the icons of GUIs too, you just have to include your icons in the theme bundle under the icons prefix. The icon name should be the same as the originals icons")

I replaced all the .svg files (in the /icons/flags/ folder) with my own .svg.

I also replaced "icons/configure.svg"

Build the theme flags.qbtheme .

Use this theme (flags.qbtheme) in qBittorrent.

I see a change in gui (configure.svg) on the screen.

But the flags in the list of peers have not changed.

What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to redefine flag images using a theme?

about "grep -r system-log-out":
I have not found that "system-log-out" is used in the sources:
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/search?q=system-log-out

WebUI does not use .qbtheme

As far as I am understanding, the icon used to be used before, now some other icon has replaced it. It should be removed in the future.

as far as I can see - in 4.5.0 these two files are not used and can be completely deleted without harm to the project:

1. system-log-out.svg
2. ratio.svg

also "not used via the theme" the following svg-files:
/flags/*.svg
fileicon.svg
qbittorrent_mac.svg

The manual probably needs to be edited and supplemented with a list of files with which the qbtheme can change the qBittorrent interface.

It would be great if the documentation reflected a tree of widgets and objects with an explanation. Without this, redefining styles is somewhat difficult.

It would be nice if someone could develop a simple GUI for the process. I am NOT a coder (just a Product Owner/Designer), so unfortunately I can't help out in that area, or I certainly would.
