qbittorrent download speed is so slow

hi im having a problem with qbittorrent
im running it on docker inside a server and the server is connected with an ethernet cable
but qbittorrent is so slow then my pc that is connected with wifi
it download from KiB/s to B/s (my internet speed test is download 200 Mbps, upload 150 Mbps)
i dont know why is it so slow
i did tested on the server without docker and the same slow download
(ubuntu server)

can you help me find a solution

A lot of torrenting clients rely on libtorrent to get basic functions.

Homepage, news and download page of qBittorrent do mention that qBit uses Qt and libtorrent.

Latest qBittorrent uses either libtorrent v1.2.19+ or v2.0.11+ and many users who use any kind of external drives have had issues with default settings and v2.0+ that can't be reproduced so often with libtorrent v1.2+ (RC_1_2).

You can see what exact dependencies your current qBittorrent is using if you open Help > About > Software Used.

You meant that internet is slow even without using qBittorrent and that you need help to figure out why? If yes, then unplug everything and retest your Internet speed using only 1 device and with Ethernet cable instead of unstable Wi-Fi to be certain which device works fine.

If normal downloads are fast, but torrenting is slow and you're using libtorrent v1.2+, then either you haven't found a popular torrent with fast seeders, have not opened port or your networking cable or devices are bad that they can't handle so many active torrents and connections as you have. You could try lowering total number of connections from default 500 to 200, keep other settings default and lower download and upload speed or try limiting active torrent count with queue to be more certain that enough resources and bandwidth is available for all devices.

Otherwise don't try anything and wait, maybe someone else can guess the real reason why your somekind of downloading is slow.

ok checked libtorrent and im useing 2.0.10
and yes normal downloads are fast only torrenting are slow
and this server did have good speeds before, i switched from ubuntu desktop to server
and on ubuntu desktop the download speed was normal

You're clearly using outdated unsupported unofficial forked Enhanced edition, not official qBittorrent.

Your cropped screenshot and comment doesn't even provide any extra info to deny or confirm anything to help to explain why original Discussion Q&A creator is currently experiencing slow download speed with Ubuntu Server + Docker and not with normal Ubuntu.

So please don't carelessly hijack other users discussions just because you think you are experiencing something similar as written in the title, use latest official supported version or contact original modified versions creator to get appropriate support.

Even if you created a new separate discussion in the correct place with enough info to reproduce with official edition, it's obvious that you'll be asked to try latest version, provide what exact OS and libtorrent you're using and to try downloading something popular that has a lot of seeders.

Your cropped screenshot shows that you're currently only connected with 1 seeder that uses totally different and closed source torrenting client, so you did unfair test and maybe you're not even trying to download a legal popular public torrent.

So you better delete your comment and try luck with getting help in your preferred forked qBit editions repository.
