qBittorrent on MacOS keeps requesting access to files on removable volume

qBittorrent: 4.4.2 (64-bit)
Operating System: MacOS 12.3.1 arm
Qt: 6.2.4
libtorrent-rasterbar: 2.0.5.0

What is the problem?

qBittorrent keeps popping up a request to access files on a removable volume. It will pop up randomly despite giving it access. Sometimes there seems to be several requests queued and the popup will repeatedly popup again after clicking "OK"

Steps to reproduce

1. Download a torrent to to a removable volume.
2. qBittorrent will request access to files on a removable volume
3. Click "OK"
4. The dialog will randomly pop up again sometimes multiple times in a row

Additional context

I have already granted qBittorrent full disk access in System Preferences but the popups continue
