qBit v4.4.3.1 freezes regularly (Arch Linux) #17216
Comments
Can I downgrade libtorrent while keeping the current torrents? I use 2 HDD formatted with XFS, 16 TB and 18 TB. |
ok, thanks. I've compiled with v1.2x library and I'm testing. |
I have been using qbittorrent all these days with the v1.2x library and it works fine. |
No, the OS is in SSD. The disk structure in my system is this:
|
I also met this problem four times in the last month. Using libtorrent v1 doesn't seem like a good solution, because 1. I need to use outdated pacakges 2. the settings and data of qBittorrent may be affected by a downgrade. I may accept this workaround if qBittorrent crashes every day, but now it only crashes every week on average. I think maybe at least we can reopen this issue so that people can find it here and track its status. |
ok, I reopen the issue but is it a qBittorrent or libtorrent problem? |
I reported it too in libtorrent bugtracker: arvidn/libtorrent#6952 |
qBittorrent & operating system versions
qbittorrent: 4.4.3.1 x64
OS: Arch Linux
Qt: 6.3.0 and 5.15.4
libtorrent-rasterbar: 2.0.6
What is the problem?
I have the computer always on with qBittorrent running. Every now and then qBittorrent freezes.
I have to restart the computer because I can't even kill the process.
Steps to reproduce
No response
Additional context
I have tested it with the official Arch Linux package, compiled by me with Qt5 and with Qt6. In all of them it fails.
