The translated file cannot be opened on a Kobo Glo (Find DRM) while the original untranslated book opens.

In most softwares .ePub means DRM free .ePub.

To software that deal with plain ePubs DRMd books look like gibberish since DRM usually encrypts the files.

You'll have to use software like Calibre DeDRM Plugin(Free) or ePubor Ultimate(Paid) to remove the DRM and then translate the DRM free epub
