I'm wondering if it would be too much work to utilize kubernetes custom resource definitions to define policies instead of config maps. From what I have seen so far the policy definitions looks like a full fledged dsl. So yaml format just might be too limiting for something like that.
Let me know your thoughts?

It's being discussed in OPA. They will probably move to a CRD based policy approach soon.
