Appending "display=3" to recovery.cmdline seems to have no effect (Pre-installed NOOBS) #175

Having just acquired one of the pre-installed NOOBS cards from the "swag shop" I'd thought I'd try modifying recovery.cmdline as a possible "workaround" to issue #142 . So I used Notepad++ in Windows XP to append "display=3" in the hope that would force NOOBS to start up in composite mode straight off. No such luck, but I was still able to get composite mode by pressing key '3', making it permanent and then installing (just) Raspbian. Re-booted into composite mode w/o problems. On re-checking the (now overwritten) recovery.cmdline noted that "display=3" was (still) appended. Is this a bug or have I just mis-interpreted the info. in README.md?

Possibly this is a combination of #149 and #168 (comment) ?

I'm planning to try and sort out all these issues before the release of NOOBS 1.4 :-)

Was this fixed?? Actually i am trying with NOOBS V_2_4_5 version, still facing the same issue. Change (display=3) added to the recovery.cmdline doesn't affecting the output display.

Also tried to set lang=en keyboard=us yet the NOOBS gui still shows the keyboard as gb
