Make get_value node configurable

The default value node can be configured using msg.interface, msg.channel and msg.datapoint as explained in the node properties help text.

But it seems that the get value node cannot be configured this way. The help text does not include any text and if I try to use {{msg.channel}} for the Channel then this entry gets silently discarded.

Is there a specific reason why the get value node does not work the same as the value node?
