Hi,
Phpdoc and other documentation libraries use @param annotation, but as recurly client is using @parameter at some places i am getting this exception, can it be changed to @param ?

Yeah that seems like an oversight. It's definitely something that can be changed. If you have the time go ahead and make the change and open up a PR.
