Swiping up turns into unintentionally swiping left or right too often

I'm using left thumb to navigate vertically and it moves leftwards to the "gallery" too often. I think it's simply because the logic to swipe left or right is too sensitive. There's a natural curve using thumb to move upwards for me and it registers as swiping left too often.

If I hold the bottom of the phone it usually moves upwards as I intended. If I hold close to the middle of the screen and my thumb is above the middle of the phone it usually swipes left which is not what I intend to do.

Also feature request: multi column support(tablet support) in the future. Not an emergent request by any means..
