We were told by Kuka that KRC 5 is fully compatible to KRC4 software wise (its KSS 8.7 vs KSS 8.6 as the software/operating system). Should receive one shortly to actually confirm this

I apologize for the interruption but I was wondering if you have successfully controlled the KR4R600 robotic arm using ROS and if so, could you please share the method you used? Hi, I'm using the Kuka kr4r600 robot with ROS these days, and I have controlled the robot with the C5 controller and EKI package successfully. The key point is to check if you have the EKI package on your controller and your computer could communication with the controller though ping {your robot IP}. And then, make a moveit package in your ROS workspace, create a moveit_planning_execution.launch file and you will be able to control your robot through moveit.
