Having a detailed README.md is great. But we could invest having vim documentation so that the docs can be accessed from vim too.
A doc/vim-gh-line.txt file can be added. For its syntax, this answer has some pointers.
There can be also a quick way to jumpstart that doc/vim-gh-line.txt file using a markdown-> vimdoc converter as mentioned here.
