This year sees another Rust Reach. Rust Reach is a project to get more people involved in Rust projects and also in Rust, the language.
To make people feel welcome, we'd like to set up a mini-campaign of Rust project members writing about their experiences with being involved in Rust. The tone should be encouraging and welcoming. My example can be found here. It doesn't have to be that long.
We'd like to use this as a trial run for testing our own documentation. The person setting up the campaign should follow our documentation to the letter and document everything that is unclear.
Additionally, we should:
Send around and email to the team mailing list, encouraging their contribution
We can then bundle all these posts and send them to the new rust reach people as a welcome package.
This can be considered a trial run and can be run on a shorter timeline, e.g. a week or even shorter. The welcome call is on Monday.
