building xml-rs 0.7.0 with RUSTFLAGS="-g --emit=llvm-ir" cargo build --release gives the following verification error:

I can reproduce this on beta, but not on nightly, so probably this got fixed by something in the meantime.

Indeed this seems fixed with nightly. It's probably not worth investigating further.
