Missing features - crop image, tags

I am using Saber for about 2 weeks. I am very satisfied but I am missing the following features:

• directly insert photo from camera (without switching to camera, taking photo, and then inserting image from gallery)
• crop image (I take photo and I want to make a cut-out)
• I would like to add tags to my notes and to be able to search notes using those tags

I downloaded the Saber code and compiled the android app. I was hoping to understand from the code which parts are important to me and be able to modify them. But I'm completely lost in the various directories and library links. Is there an overview somewhere which parts of the code are important (guide for potential code contributors)? I should note that I am not an Android developer, but a C++ programmer.
