Changes not staged for commit:
  (use "git add/rm <file>..." to update what will be committed)
  (use "git restore <file>..." to discard changes in working directory)
        deleted:    depcomp
        deleted:    ltmain.sh
        deleted:    missing

that you would be great to see addressed.

Hi Steffen,
I've tested this in a fresh docker image and can confirm that the three files aren't needed as they're overwritten anyway by configure. Happy to merge that in.
