QML-Nodejs-ChatChallenge

This simple app was created as a challenge submission in 2 days. It was created using Qt Creator, QML and Nodejs. The Challenge was meant to test adaption to new software.

Install Dependencies

Use command 'npm install'

Build & Run

  • Make sure to have all the .dll files in the path environment variable(this took a lot of my time)
  • Open .pro file in Qt creator (open source)
  • Configure project
  • Make sure to have installed MinGW
  • Build & Run

After Running Build?

  • A window will open up
  • Open another instance of the same build
  • Enter names and hit submit
  • The chat app should work correctly
  • If you find any issues or want to add some new functionality, please do make a pull request.
