If you have photoshop, what I've done in the past is find a sprite sheet I like, then make that the background layer. Then I draw on top of it. Like I started with this: http://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/sheets/53/56408.png then I took the frames I needed and made them a background layer and drew on top of them a blank dude for my uses: http://p4u1.com/wk/template_sprite.png finally i draw on top of my own template: http://p4u1.com/wk/sprite%20bones.png
