Our World In 0s and 1s

  • File format tells us where specific information is stored. On the other hand, encoding tells us how a specific information is stored with just 0s and 1s. There are encoding schemes for English words, machine instructions, and many more. Although it's usually referring to storing information, encoding can also be used to hide information.
