start kafka

cd /Users/Shared/kafka_2.12-2.5.0
bin/zookeeper-server-start.sh config/zookeeper.properties
bin/kafka-server-start.sh config/server.properties

create a topic for jvm

bin/kafka-topics.sh --create --bootstrap-server localhost:9092 --replication-factor 1 --partitions 1 --topic jvm
bin/kafka-topics.sh --list --bootstrap-server localhost:9092

# Send some messages
bin/kafka-console-producer.sh --bootstrap-server localhost:9092 --topic jvm

# Start a consumer
bin/kafka-console-consumer.sh --bootstrap-server localhost:9092 --topic jvm --from-beginning

install mongodb

brew tap mongodb/brew
brew install mongodb-community@4.2

start and stop mongodb

brew services start mongodb-community@4.2

ps aux | grep -v grep | grep mongod

enable live reload for intellij

  • First, be sure that you added spring-boot-devtools as dependency:

  • Second, verify that build project automatically is selected.
  • Last, In the Registry window verify the option compiler.automake.allow.when.app.running is checked.
