Using a supported version?

  • I have searched searched open and closed issues for duplicates.
  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

When a Signal call is active, adjusting the volume does nothing and the participant is too loud to hear, oftentimes painful.

It's possible that this is a Bluetooth-specific issue as I had my headphones on during the call, however it's not a problem with the headset or the BT stack as other applications do not have this issue and I can adjust the volume just fine.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start voice/video call
  2. Try and adjust volume

Expected result

Volume should adjust

Actual result

Volume stays the same
