App crashes immediately when not in airplane mode

Bug description

When my friend opens signal on her iphone it immediately crashes with no error message whatsoever. When they turn on airplane mode signal opens up as usual. They also tried to send a message while beeing offline and then start the app again after turning off airplane mode. And sometimes the messages get sent.

Steps to reproduce

• open signal while beeing connected to the internet
• signal crashes without error message
• turn on airplane mode
• open signal
• signal opens up

Actual result: Signal crashes without error messages immediately upon opening

Expected result: Signal opens up and is usable.

Device info

Device: iPhone SE (2022)

iOS version: 17.5.1

Signal version: 7.18 (but has been a problem since the version before)

The issue is not present on the latest version 7.21
