Crash when setup run on shallow checkout

Running on a shallow clone via CI and using casile setup results in the CLI panicking. Obviously it needs to confirm not just that it is a valid depo but also one with some depth to run warp_time, but it isn't. Either it should give some sensible error about why that won't work or it should skip the warp function.
