I am a complete novice at this. I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro M177fw, network-connected, has worked fine for scanning for years and still works from all the Windows 7 computers. Since starting with Windows 11, have all kinds of problems getting it to work. The default Windows Scan works but it is a terrible app. HP Scan which has always worked on the other computers no longer works and nothing I do seems to get it to work. I have two identical computers, Both are HP ProDesk 600 G4 SFF. Your scanner app installed easily and worked fine on one of them. Will not work on the other. Windows default scan app works on both, HP Scan on neither.
I am doing the install of your app the same way on both, using the PowerShell script. On thie one computer, the script window showss and the window disappears, nothing else. On the other it installed a new app I could run from the app menu. No idea why. I have set the two up identically. Both will see the associated printer device and print to it. As a test, I installed VueScan to the computer I am having the problem with and it works fine. But it does cost $ 70. Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance for your help !
