inaccessible hypervisor UI on linux with v1.2.0

This error is present in the binary release of 1.2.0

upon navigating to the hypervisor UI, the login screen never appears.

when the page is refreshed, the following error is presented

Running the visor with the -i flag allows the login screen to load and the hypervisor to be accessed, but if i am not mistaken, no password set in this will persist so this effectively defeats the password protection

on other machines I get different errors
