Display font suddenly changed in v1.63 #948
Comments
The old font was FULL of jagged borders around the letters, the new one is much better but if you wanna an option/setting in the .ini file to change it without removing the new one from the emulator it's fine. ;) |
I'm a little confused, I don't see an .ini file in the same directory as Snes9x, only a .conf file. Are you saying there's a way to change it back or something? |
This was the change For now you can get the old font back by enabling "Display messages before applying filters" in the Display Configuration (although it is then also processed by the filter if any is active). |
I was saying it would be nice if this was a change that could be done on *.conf file where the settings are. ;) 👍 |
This has to be the weirdest complaint. You literally only see that text for a few seconds when starting game. |
Btw, I don't mean the font for the ROM info in the screenshot only, but rather the new input display and whatnot. While it's fine, I was used to the old display
I understand now! |
You can increase the size of the font in the settings. I set my size on 30 but it can be bigger if you wish so. |
Not gonna happen. |
Hello, I updated to Snes9x 1.63 and was greeted by this new font:
This was not mentioned in the changelog. Why exactly was this done? I believe the old font was easier to see and it has been a classic for over a decade, and the new one can be hard to see and obstructive at times. How can I revert it? Much appreciated
