I just tried out this plugin, and noticed that when you enter a gift card number on the cart page it doesn't provide any context that the gift card was accepted.
If you use an actual coupon it relects that in the cart totals area of the cart page.
It would be nice if this behaved the same way.

As far as I understand, the issue you you describe is that you do not see a success message when redeeming a gift card in the coupon input in the cart. Is that right?
If so, then I tried to replicate this locally by using:
Gift Cards v1.9.3 and;
Gift Cards - Coupon Input v1.0.2.
As you can see in the following video, when I apply a valid gift card in the coupon field in the cart, I see a success message as expected.

If this is not what you see in your site, then could you please make sure that you use the latest Gift Cards and Gift Cards - Coupon Input versions?
If you do, can you please try to:
switch the active theme back to Storefront (or another default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Twenty One),
deactivate all other plugins except for WooCommerce, Gift Cards and Gift Cards - Coupon and;
