About ytdl

Greetings! I am Sourabh Kumar Verma, a student at Bangalore Institute of Technology. Currently in my 2nd year of pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science

During the second wave of the pandemic when I was diagnosed with COVID-19, I developed a project called YouTube-dl GUI or Ytdl. I started studying for my exams during my isolation period, but poor internet connectivity made it difficult to connect to my online classes. I found a great project on GitHub called YouTube-dl, but realized it was challenging for people without knowledge of command lines to use. So, I took the initiative to port its features to GUI, and thus, Ytdl was born. Since the release of the application in April 2021, it has received good responses from various people who can now download their online class videos and watch them. As more people joined the project, we were able to improve it and reach out to more people.
