I'm not 100% sure how it would work, but it would be nice to be able to search all Cyanobacteria genomes, for example, without going through the trouble of making a picklist and then subsetting it.
so I think sourmash tax grep might be nice. Maybe it could work by taking a taxonomy file and a manifest file or a database, and then outputting a picklist?
