You can email anyone on the Open Action Kit organizing team with your question or submitt an issue. Either way, we'll get back to you as soon as possible. 🐳🍕🔜
The Open Action Toolkit includes monthly communications and resources for advancing and advocating for open access , open data and open education. We plan to address some of the following themes and could use your help:
- Exploring and choosing your action
- Crafting your message and inspiring engagement
- Getting to the finish line and connecting with other OA champions
- Telling the story of your efforts and successes
We want to know about your ideas, work, and go-to resources for advancing openness. Are you planning something awesome for Open Access Week 2017? What cool stuff have you created that others can use? Can you point us to useful models, guides, lists, or outreach materials that other people have created? Let us know, and we'll highlight them in the Open Action Kit's monthly communication and resources.
You can use this feedback form share your ideas and receive updates about the project.
Issues are a great way to for you to communicate ideas. They’re kind of like email for Github.:rainbow::envelope:
- To view or create an issue, click on the Issues tab at the top of the repository.
- Browse the open issues. If there's an exisitng issue that is related to your idea, feel free to add a comment. Hint: Click on the Issue title to view its details and comment
- Or, open a new issue, add a descriptive title, and leave a comment with the details you'd like to share.
Are you pretty confortable working in Github or just want to learn? That's awesome, direct contributions to the Open Action Kit are totally welcome! 😍 Here are a few tips for faciliating the Pull Request (PR) process:
- Make your changes compact, which will allow us to review and merge your contribuitons more quickly.
- Use a descriptive title.
- Add some comments to contextualize your contribution.
New to working in Github? No worries, this guide provides a nice overview of contributing to open projects on Github. Also, don't worry - you can't break anything, so feel free to experiment! ✨
