Hello, I'm Jason Dsouza, hailing from Karnataka, India. I completed my bachelor's degree in 2022 and ventured into freelancing as both a front-end and full-stack developer. But my passion for continuous growth drove me to learn Data Structures, Algorithms, and DevOps, seeking more knowledge and exploration.

In January 2023, I began my journey of Open Source contributions. While creating content on Twitter, I faced challenges in finding free tools to simplify the process. This sparked the idea of building an application, Free-Hit, to help people discover the right free tools for their needs.

My aspiration has always been to create something meaningful and beneficial for others. Thanks to the unique concept and the positive impact it had, people not only started using Free-Hit but also contributed to its development. Excitingly, the project got selected for GSSOC23, giving our development a tremendous boost.

As a non-funded project, I currently store data in a JSON file, which slows down the application and adds bulk. However, with the implementation of a database, the possibilities for innovative features become infinite. Utilizing users' login data, we can personalize their experiences, making it even more engaging and delightful.

Our primary focus now lies in setting up the database, paving the way for an exceptional user experience. 🎉
