I'm Hussein! I'm a senior data engineer at Voodoo and an Apache committer and PMC member actively contributing to Apache Airflow, Iceberg, and Hudi projects. I'm passionate about open-source software and the positive impact it can have on the community.

I contribute to open-source projects to continuously learn, help others, and contribute to the growth of the community. I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and the value of sharing knowledge.

My primary focus is on the Airflow project, where I contribute to the core framework, the providers Kubernetes, Celery, AWS, and Hashicorp, as well as the web server and API. Additionally, I'm involved in the Apache Iceberg and Hudi projects, where I contribute to their development and improvement.

I'm also actively working on 2 of my open-source projects:

• spark-on-k8s: A Python package used to submit and manage Spark jobs on a Kubernetes cluster, with a webserver to easily manage and monitor them.
• async-batcher: A Python package that helps to batch any synchronous single queries/calls (HTTP, GRPC, Stream, ...) asynchronously to reduce resource consumption.
