About me

Software engineer

I've been working on software for the past 25 years. In the last 5 years, I started helping other software engineers improve their technical practices. After accumulating experience, notes and feedback. I decided to combine all this material with two other coaches and put everything into a book. The book is called Agile Technical Practices Distilled and as released in 2019.

Software engineering content

After writing the book I continued to accumulate experience as a software engineering coach, there are many new exercises I've created and not published. More efficient ways to explain some concepts, new concepts that we never included in the book and more. I'm at the moment working on a giant exercise but I can only work on it after hours and progress is slow.

Amateur musician

In parallel to my software engineering profession, I've been developing as a musician. I started playing the guitar when I was about 16 and recently started on the trumpet. I love all kinds of music but Jazz has a very special place in my heart. I love the freedom of Jazz and improvising together with other musicians.

Bringing the worlds of software engineering and music together

A few years ago while learning F# and functional programming I created a library to work with music. Now I'm learning Kotlin and decided to apply the same pattern I used to learn F# create a music library.

Where can you help

I would love to be able to focus a bit more time on both software engineering content and the music open source libraries. With your support, I could dedicate more working hours time instead of only when time allows.

Find out if this generates enough interest to start taking bigger steps.
