Ricardo Filipo
Software Engineer since 1984, Ricardo is committed to Free Software since 1996, worked with the Brazilian government, as the leader of the Free Software Project of the Rio de Janeiro (PSL-RJ), being one of the first Perl Mongers in Rio de Janeiro. He wrote Perl Básico, a book published by CIPSGA, the first book about Perl Development in Portuguese, and in 2001, as a teacher at Estácio de Sá University (UNESA, RJ), created the first university course about "Free Software Administration" in Brazil.
Since 2010 Ricardo lives in Orlando, Florida, working as System Architect, Scrum Manager, and DevOps in projects for US private companies and driving the Kobkob Initiative, reaching more than 30k individuals, bringing to the community free software products, free e-books, and articles.
