I work on the open source Learning Management System (LMS) called Moodle. It is like the Linux of LMS systems and heavily customizable. It is used by millions of people and thousands of schools around the world.

We use Moodle to power the LMS that serves over 35,000 students, faculty, researchers, and staff at UCLA. We contribute back our changes, improvements, and bug fixes back to the Moodle community. Also, every summer we have an internship program in which we have our interns also contribute back to Moodle to get them exposed to contributing to an open source project that we hope they will continue in their careers.
