Transparency effect on v1.0

How do I enable transparency effects in the menu like in the demo? I have transparency effects turned on in Windows 11 but the toolbar just has a solid background.

I am using the deskband version with StartAllBack however I have tried the taskbar version and it is the same.

EDIT: I have noticed that transparency effects return after restarting explorer, however only once. After closing and opening again the menu returns to being solid background until explorer is restarted again.

Are you using it as an icon or as a search box in the taskbar? If you are using the search box version the window will not be transparent as long as the search box has keyboard focus. It will turn transparent as soon as you focus the search window by clicking tabs or an empty area inside the window. This is a Windows limitation.

If this does not answer the question, could you please provide detailed instructions on how to reproduce this behavior including your exact Windows version and whether you're using light or dark theme?

I'm using the icon on the taskbar. Using Windows version 22623.1245 (beta channel). Here is a video of it right after I restarted explorer.

That definitely is interesting. Normally it should not lose focus when typing or clicking into the search box and I don't really see any reason why it would do so. Is there any other applications running/installed on your machine that might interfere with the behavior? I remember you having problems with the deskband version as well a few months ago.

Actually, I have MicaForEveryone installed and that seems to be the culprit. When I quit MFE, the intended behaviour resumes. I imagine I have to create some exception for Everything toolbar.

What would be the name of the process or class rule that Everything toolbar is running that I can put in. It doesn't show up automatically as one of the selectable process rules.

I don't know. For the deskband it might be related to the explorer process. I don't know if it is easily possible to exclude EverythingToolbar in that case.
