The title pretty much states my wish. I really love the idea of the review pane for notes. It's literally so good and so relieving to literally see the 'future' (or at least knowing one won't miss anything important in future reviews). Makes studying so much more tangible. So my question would be: why not add a pane for flashcards as well (somewhat Anki inspired)?

The easiest way I imagine how it could be solved is to split the current review pane into two distinct tabs that allows easy switching between the notes and flashcards pane.

Integrating such a functionality would remove so much friction from my studying, mainly no need for Anki anymore as most integrations via plugins are way too complex and user-unfriendly for what they are.

I hope this little 'illustration' will suffice to get my point across. Basically just added the 'tabs' to enable switching the pane from the notes pane to the flashcard pane.

I'd imagine the flashcards pane would look and function exactly like the notes pane, mainly grouping flashcards based on their due date.

Hi @bl03, nice idea

As each note can have multiple flashcards, do you have any preferences regarding how this would be displayed?

I presume that the same note would be listed multiple times if the cards within it have multiple review dates?

Perhaps including the number of cards that would be reviewed would be useful

e.g.
Tomorrow
note 1 (5)

Jun 6 2024
note 1 (2)

Cheers
Ronny

Hi @ronzulu, thank you for the quick reply!

Honestly, I haven't even thought about it but your suggestion looks and sounds good. I think anything else would be too much for what it is. Good thinking.

(Out-of-scope for the initial request but) perhaps, for any future version, given that the flashcards do have a 'due-date-signature-id' below them once they are reviewed, sorting the cards in each note based on the due-date would be also possible?
So going from this:

To this:

Just parking it here.
