The OpenFunction technical oversight committee (TOC) is formed for overseeing the technical aspects of the project as a whole such as technical direction, roadmap, design, architecture, administration and marketing. This committee is created by OpenFunction Steering Committee.
The TOC specifically focuses on the technical part of the project. It also provides overall technical guideline for special interest groups (SIGs) and working grouping. Specifically, the responsibilities of this committee are as follows.
- Set the overall technical direction and design of the project.
- Create the roadmap of the project.
- Approve the creation and dissolution of special interest groups (SIGs) and approve the nominated leads of SIGs.
- Approve the management such as creation/deletion of GitHub repositories related to the project.
- Resolve issues raised from SIGs and working groups.
Seats on the Technical Oversight Committee are held by an individual, not by their employer.

The OpenFunction technical committee meets bi-weekly in Thursday afternoon (after OpenFunction Community meeting, can be open or closed). The meeting notes are open to public.
