EPIC asked San Franciscan tweeters on the ground to include the hash tag #SFRIOT with different status updates as to what was occurring in their surroundings – #fire, #closure, #response #injury, #violence, #smoke, and #assault would relay information back to the information scientists, computer scientists and computational linguists located at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of California at Irvine, who would then
