Why wouldn't we want a support SO BRITTLE that it will just crush off the print?
i am working with petg and its a real PITA to remove supports sometimes.
It will also make better shaped supports, as they're sometimes messy due to thin structure.
A very simple field of "support fan speed" would do the job perfectly. Different areas of support cooling would be even better, but not mandatory.
