Feature request: Profiler log messages

We often have a need for evaluating profile times in the context of a nodes execution path. One way to accomplish this is to analyze the ROS logs after the fact. It would be convenient if the profile times were also captured in these logs, perhaps as a named DEBUG log type.

This is a feature we are happy to contribute, but I am wondering if the maintainers have any thoughts on this.
