I just updated to 0.103.x and updated my packages, and now I'm getting these messages when I magit-status (SPC g s):

ad-handle-definition: `magit-commit-popup' got redefined
require: Symbol's value as variable is void: magit-remote-popup

I can confirm this error message; Could it have something to do with the recent Magit?

@Peeja can you rename your ~/.emacs.d/.cache directory and try again ? Also new magit requires git 1.9.3.

@syl20bnr I followed both of your instructions, but the error message stays the same. Do you think this is an issue within the magit package, or maybe the configuration layer used by spacemacs?

This is happening to me as well.

Deleting the .emacs.d/elpa directory solved this problem for me. Although you should probably rename it instead of removing it if you want to to be able to still rollback to earlier configurations of spacemacs 👍

Moving aside my .emacs.d/elpa and restarting did the trick. I still have the old one, if it's any diagnostic help.

If you ever run into this - just update your packages (not Spacemacs itself, but packages).

There was no activity last 4 months and this issue concerns an old version of spacemacs. It was probably a temporary update problem. I'm closing it, but feel free to open a new one in case of troubles ☺️
